Best Laid Plans

Best laid plans of mice and men…

Or, rather, Imp and Wolf in this case.

See, Bazinga, our big red dog, loves water.

Best laid plans, pic one

Bazinga loves water. See?

Loooooves water.

Best laid plans 2

Really loves water.

She will jump two feet, straight up into the air when she sees anyone with the hose, or somebody wielding a water gun. She loves being sprayed.

Best Laid Plans 3

Really, REALLY loves water

So, being that she’s a brachycephalic (fancy name for short-faced) dog, and they’re notoriously bad in dealing with hot weather, we thought, “Wading pool! Bazinga needs a wading pool! Bazinga would LOVE a wading pool!”

Bazinga, however, disagreed.

Best laid plans 4

Nope. Not doing it. Not getting in there.

Vehemently.

Noooooo pool! No, no, no!

You know what happens when you try to get a 130 pound dog into a wading pool against her will?

Nothing. That’s what happens. Except it becomes extremely clear that if you continue to try to force the issue, there WILL be a body in the pool. And it won’t be the dog’s.

Makes for fantastic entertainment, though. The Minions and I had a REALLY good time watching Wolf attempt to coax, bribe, and physically manoeuvre Bazinga into the pool.

Score: Bazinga – 1, Wolf – 0

  1. Laughing out loud as always Imp. I must admit that I was waiting for the last photo to be one of Wolf falling in the pool though.

Next time he is bugging you, push him in the pool for me and snap a photo. He won’t mind it if you are only doing so to please a loyal reader, right?

    • Sheryl, I’d be lying if I said we weren’t waiting (hoping) he’s fall in, LOL

Hmmmm, for the readers…”Honey, it’s for the BLOOOOOOG! You gotttaaaaa!”

      Wonder if that’d work….
